Dear ICON Players and Parents -

I am very pleased to announce the tryout and practice schedule for the 2008 ICON Fall UPLAX Team. We have chosen to return to the UPLAX tournament, which hosts over 60 Division I, II and III collegiate coaching staffs, for a second straight year based upon the 
overwhelmingly positive response on the part of our players, parents and coaches. Over the past year we have built the foundation of a very rewarding high school club experience, based on outstanding student athletes, knowledgeable and enthusiastic coaches, and highly competitive recruiting opportunities. We anticipate a very successful 
showing at this year's event.

The ROSTER for the tournament will consist of 20 sophomores, juniors and select seniors to travel to Annapolis (November 14 -16), with additional opportunities for players in grades 9 - 12 on our developmental team. Players selected to the developmental and travel 
teams will participate in 11 practices (including tryouts) throughout the fall, with an emphasis on skill development and team building.  Players MUST attend at least one of our two tryout dates to be considered eligible for the travel team!

TRYOUTS will take place on August 31 from noon - 2pm, and September 7 from 12:30 - 2pm at the Superior Williams Turf Field. Directions to the Williams Turf Field can be found on the FALL page of the ICON website (link provided below).

FEES for participation on the 2008 UPLAX travel team will be $1500 and are all-inclusive (flight, hotel, ground transportation, uniforms, tournament & practice fees). Fees for participation on the developmental team will be approximately $300 and include a uniform 
and 10 practice dates. We understand that this is a serious financial commitment on the part of the families involved and as such we do our best to keep the price of such trips as low as possible.

Registration for the tryout dates will close on August 30th. There  is a $25 tryout fee for both travel and developmental players.
