Fall Chumash Lacrosse Session For Youth

Specifically designed for youth players in 3rd to 8th grades and for players new to the game or with less than 2 years experience, the fall Chumash Lacrosse program is a great way to learn about all lacrosse has to offer.


Run by Flip Naumberg (Former Head Coach of CSU lacrosse) and Vipers Youth coaches, each 1 1/2 hour session will be broken down in to 45 minutes of instructional time and 45 minutes of Chumash game time.


Full lacrosse gear is required but it you don't have it or can't borrow it, you can rent equipment for a very reasonable cost at Colorado Lacrosse & Company.

Friday, August 13th, 2010:

2008 Vipers Grad, Brock Waddell, graduated and earned his US Army Airborne Wings this morning at Ft. Benning, GA.  Brock, who is a Junior this year and plays Lacrosse at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, VA., is also in Army R.O.T.C. with the Monarch Battalion based at ODU.

Brock was selected to enter the 82nd Airborne Jump School and completed his 4 week intensive training and jump week just today.  With most days hitting a heat index of 120 degrees and training going from 4:00 AM to 6:30PM, it was one of the biggest challenges he has faced.  Of the 485 cadets in Alpha Company, less that 425 made it through to graduation. 

Jump week consists of 3 Hollywood jumps (no combat gear) during daylight, one full combat jump during daylight and the final jump is a full combat jump at night. 

He arrived home tonight at DIA tired and sore but with the prestigious Airborne Wings on his uniform.

We were not able to attend the final jump and graduation ceromoney, but to our surprise, a former VWC Lacrosse Captian who had gradauted the year before Brock's Freshman year, is currenty an Army Ranger based at Fort Benning and "pinned" Brock with is Airborne Wings this morning. (Thanks Coach Stewart) !!

We so appreciate the support from our extended Vipers lacrosse family and keeping Brock in your thoughts has meant the world to us.
